Posted November 10, 200816 yr comment_265953 I've been looking into swapping out my R-180 Rear end for something stronger I would appreciate any suggestions... It seems like the R-200 Is the way most people would choose to go. I was wondering if there was a direct R-200 bolt in application? I Have a 1975 280Z with all the rear end parts. how much power (torque) can a R-200 handle in a non-drag application but something that will get off the line nicely. (running a 7-10 inch wide nitto street tires) Grip but not drag slicks. I'm hoping for all the componets to hold up atleast till the tires break loose. the last thing i want to happen is for all my hard work to go down the drain but i dont want to be shy with my car. Currenly I'm running a small block chevy, 200R4 tranny. Hoping to be running 350-380 FT LB. 300-400 HP :devious: 98% of my cars life is for street use (daily driver) Here a link to my build with the help of my friend Summner P http://purplesagetradingpost.com/sumner/techinfo/73%20Datsun%20Z%20-%20Small%20Block%20Chevy.html Edited November 10, 200816 yr by Zbrothershawn Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29931-rear-end-swap-73-240z/ Share on other sites
November 11, 200816 yr comment_266152 The r200 is strong enough but you should run a 4 pinion lsd for the most strength. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29931-rear-end-swap-73-240z/#findComment-266152 Share on other sites
