1963 LeMans Tempest sells for $226,521

Not a Datsun but quite a surprise for the seller. The opening bid was $500. Rusty old car, no engine or transmission, evidence of a racing history. Pretty cool story this car almost went to scrap metal. 1 of 6 ultra rare Pontiac SD Tempest cars in 1963. Be sure to login to eBay (if you have an account) to see all 38 questions from the buyers.

Yeah, I saw that on Bring A Trailer last week. Incredible story, and quite a find. The selling price is all the more amazing since the seller had no clue what he had.

Wow ! I used to own a 1 of 9 made 1969 Ram Air IV GTO convertible . I gave

it away in trade on a shiney black 1969 Judge when I was in my early 20's .
