Posted November 12, 200816 yr comment_266199 Hi Folks:First post. Helping my friend with his car. Just been removed from long term storage and he tells me he has no fuel flow to the injectors. Figured I would start at the fuse panel. Is there a fuse or fuseable link for the fuel pump and where is it?From there I'll put my multi meter on the lead at the pump and see if there is power to the unit. I read the "key on key off or starter engaged" debate. Very light hearted...I have no schematic which would help. By the way I know nothing about these cars but I'm a mechanic by training and should be able to struggle through with the help of this forum.Very Respectfully,60Vette Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29958-1978-280z-no-fuel/ Share on other sites
November 12, 200816 yr comment_266211 Welcome. There are a myriad of things that could lead to that scenario so at this point I'd just be guessing. As far as a schematic, go to http://www.xenons30.com/reference.html, scroll down to '1978 Datsun 280z Factory Service manual - Complete 74.3mb Zip File', save it, and you'll have what I think is the best technical reference there is for that car. November 13, 200816 yr Author comment_266288 Thank you Stephen:This is an extensive file. The schematic is almost unuseable due to the granularity of the copy but the fuel section is top notch. Now if I can locate those components (relays and etc.) in the car I'll be doing fine. I hope I can use you as a resource in my search.Very Respectfully,60Vette Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29958-1978-280z-no-fuel/#findComment-266288 Share on other sites
November 13, 200816 yr comment_266295 I don't know where the manual that the xenon site has comes from but the one I have is the Courtesy Nissan version. It's wiring diagram is quite usable.
