To tell you the truth - I don't know if I can be of much help or not. I'll be glad to try.

The real problem is that most people that have good used engines - really aren't equipped to crate them up for shipping, nor do they know how, nor who, to use to ship the engine to an address in Panama. The logistics of all that can be very time consuming, so it's just far easier for them to sell to a local buyer.

Companies that specialize in remanufacturing engines - usually do have the facilities to crate an engine for shipment, and they usually know how to have it shipped. The next obsticle might be that many companies will not deal with an individual outside the Country.

Have you checked with your local Nissan Dealer - to see what they could do? They might not have a source for remanufactured L24's any longer - but they might be willing to order one from a source you supply. A supplier in the States might be willing to ship an engine to a Nissan Dealership in Panama.

Im going to make my homework. But I think the way to go is to buy an engine from a Company that specialize in remanufacturing engines.

People laugh when I ask them about my car, they just said is to old.

Unfotunatedly things dont work here like US. You can find parts and get helped by people how knows what are they talking about but here.

99.9% of datuns owners here are poor people and their cars are all rusted and in bad shape.:embarrass:

Try looking at http://www.atkengines.com/ they are the ones that supply MSA with there engines.

Be careful of that L24E they list(#314B). It's for sedans as it is a front sump engine and oil pickup would have to be modified, and the oil pan and dipstick would have to be changed to fit an S30/S130.

Funny - I get

$2130.00 + 240.00 core charge + $15.00 skid charge = $2385.00. Still not a bad price by todays standards for a remanufactured engine, with a 3 year, 100K mile warranty..

I bought one of the Jasper remans about 2+ years ago. The price was actually cheaper than what I could get an engine rebuilt for locally. It came with all new internals. It comes pretty stipped down to just the block and the head. You have to bolt on EVERYTHING else. They have very good quality control. And it comes with a 3 year warranty. They delivered it in a very nice sturdy crate, right to my door within a week. Delivering to Panama maybe a different story, but they are a pretty large company and might be able to handle it.

I use it in my track car and it has held up very well.

Even though Jasper is based in Indiana I believe they do all import engines somewhere on the west coast like Oregon. I sent my original engine to them for a rebuild. I think it took a couple of months but I wasn't in a hurry. I don't know what their international policy is as shipping is simply part of the price.

Ten years ago I bought an engine from ATK for my 75 Z with a 36 month/3 year warranty. 3k miles later I spent over $700 having it repaired because ATK used a cheap head gasket and didn't replace 3 badly pitted head bolts when they rebuilt it. And no, they wouldn't pay for the repairs nor claim responsibilty for their inferior work.

I'd look elsewhere...
