Hi everyone. I just signed up today and wanted to drop in and say hello.
I have a 73 240 that I bought from the west coast and am in the process of getting it street worthy. The car only had 82,000 original miles when I got it, but had been sitting for about 20 yrs. without being cranked or moved. It belonged to a man that retired from a company and that was his retirement gift. He must have been a CEO or something. Anyway he drove it daily until his death. His wife said it was parked in their garage and she never moved it after his death. I found it by accident when a friend of mine told me about it and said he was friends with the lady. He knew I was looking for another Z and called me. I called her and the rest is history.
The car was in pretty rough shape from sitting so long and I have been working on it for about a year. I am driving it daily, but it still needs alot of work.
I am sure I will be asking a lot of question, cause I haven't had a Z since 1988. If anyone in the Atlanta area would like to contact me feel free to. I am probably going to join the GA Z club, I hear it has a lot of members and really nice people.
