Posted November 19, 200816 yr comment_266802 I figured it was about time I introduced myself on this site even though I have been here for some time posting once and a while. I am Clive from NY and I live in the NYC area (Rockland County). I have been into Z cars for about 2 1/2 years now and now own two. A 73 with the LS1/T56 and a 71 with lots of little goodies on it. Here is the car I have been building for two years (73): I just picked this car up less than a week ago (71): For a complete story on it please see this link --> http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=141186 I like coming here to the site and learning the history of our Z cars and see some very beautiful stock cars! I have sold some parts here that I believe will make it on some very very nice cars. I am also starting a new Z club in the lower NYC area. I think it is well over due and I hope to have the support of anyone within the area. I already do have a mailing list going and plan to have the club fully up and running by Summer. Please email me if you would like some more info Clive.Bogle at gmail.com I look forward to reading and learning here and if anyone needs any help with anything here in the NY area let me know. November 19, 200816 yr comment_266803 Welcome, red one is gorgeous I'd remove the whaletail, and then never touch it (except for maybe an L28ET, if it doesn't already ) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/30023-hello-from-ny/#findComment-266803 Share on other sites

November 19, 200816 yr Author comment_266807 Thanks guys! The silver one for now is my pride and joy for a rookie mechanic! I plan to work the bugs out and swap it all over to a cleaner body "rust free". Right now the car is at 390rwhp Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/30023-hello-from-ny/#findComment-266807 Share on other sites
November 20, 200816 yr comment_266833 Very cool. I'd enjoy popping open that hood in front of someone expecting the L6 and watching their facial expression when they see the "CORVETTE" lettering.I also like the red one. I'd never put a whale tail on my baby, but I always enjoy seeing them. November 20, 200816 yr comment_266843 Welcome Clive...seems funny welcoming someone who has been around as long as you and also someone I have met in person and bought from, but you know what...never too late. Looks like a great winter project that you have bought. I don't know, I think some Zs look real good with a whale tail as part of the total package, like the baby blue one with the ghost flames and raised cowl hood at Cleveland. It just looked good. To each their own, I guess. Have fun with it! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/30023-hello-from-ny/#findComment-266843 Share on other sites
November 20, 200816 yr Author comment_266850 As far as the whale tail, not sure yet if I am putting it back on. Last week when I saw pics of the car, I said for sure I was taking it off but now it kinda fits the car. Also the fact I have not seen a whale tail like this one that mounts upwards on the hatch when most mount down near the lip of the hatch. I will take pics. This car will get the turbo motor and next year I will look for another Z for the v8 to go into. I plan to buy a stock series one car but I am 24 and have plenty of time Clive Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/30023-hello-from-ny/#findComment-266850 Share on other sites
