zg flares and super zg flares

Greetings,

I was wondering if someone with a set on their car wouldn't mind going out and getting a few measurements for me???

Looking to cross-reference them and use them on another vehicle. I know the wheelwells are "similar" sized, and I also know they are slightly flexible.

With that, I'd really appreciate:

The width of the flares (front to back), interior side, level to the ground.

If the flares run lower in the front of the wheelwell than they do on the back (or vice versa), please measure the width, level to the ground, from the higher of the two points....... again, from the interior side of the flare, from the front side of the wheelwell to the backside.

Does that make sense? I hope so.

Thanks in advance for your help..... of course, if it isn't too much trouble, pictures always help.

OHHHH... one more thing..... a good, reliable, quality retailer to buy them from at a good price?

Edit: the only flares I've found so far are these, and they look REALLY cheap/poor quality to me. Am I right, or do they all look this thin?

I'd like to be able to help you, but your request is something of a "how long is a piece of string" question.......

There are many factors that will get in the way of simple, straight measurements - such as original manufacturer ( mine are factory-made and factory-fitment, but what you source might be a copy, a copy of a copy, or a copy of a copy of a copy...... ) and also fitment position - which is variable. And measuring "level to the ground" is another variable that depends on the ride height of the car being measured.

Perhaps the best thing to do would be to talk to your eventual chosen vendor ( especially in the case of the "Super ZG" overfenders - which are not a factory item and therefore could be any size ) and see if they can give you some dimensions that you can work from. Failing that, stump up and buy some - and if they don't work, or can't be made to work by modifying them, then sell 'em. You'll lose a little, but it might be worth trying.

Cheers,

Alan T.
