Posted December 2, 200816 yr comment_267851 I may need a fuel pump. 76 z with fuel injection. Are there any aftermarket pumps I can use? The Holley Red says for carbs only; Just don't want to spend ~250 for a pump if I can help it...Any experience with the MSA rebuilt pumps? December 3, 200816 yr comment_267900 In the long run, you'll be better off with a stock pump. New or rebuilt. That one that they sell at most of the chain auto parts stores is junk. Won't last a year. I've never put one in my car but I've done a few for other people (while protesting and warning the owner of emminent failure but it's their money!). I've replaced one stock pump among the two cars I own that have that type of pump in ten years! And that one works fine now and is my spare after I cleaned it out and replaced the check valve. December 8, 200816 yr comment_268407 I too prefer the stock pump, bosch still rebuilds them. I have an aftermarket pump on my car. Had to replace stock one before cleaning and POR15 the tank. I have had my pump on there for 2 years now and no problems. My aftermarket pump does have a lifetime warranty.
