Must have been a thing of the 70's ......... I had the exact same steering wheel wrap and color on my Series I in the 70's.

Great early VIN find in NY ....... doesn't look bad considering it has been sleeping in the frozen tundra of the northeast.

Forgot that part, . After looking at the car the next day I told her the miles had rolled over and had 124k. When she saw it she thought only 24k...either way the car was only on the road for 6 years....paint missing from the wheel just looked like surface rust getting to it. The slight mold in the car tells me that the garage it was in wasn't vented and caused that process. Thanks for pointing that out in my original post.

No matter what, it had to be a rush to find it. I can imagine the rush of finding an old Z under a cover somewhere or in some old garage just sitting there. It had to be a cool experience.

So looks like I am going to end up with the car, got a call from the daughter of the owner and the family is glad to hear it will go to good use and not be crushed!
