I have a 77 Coupe. There are four tail lights - 2 on top (right and left) and two on the bottom (right and left).

My question is: When I turn the lights on, the top two lights come on and the bottom two come on when the brakes are applied. Is this correct?

I thought that all four should come on when the lights are turned on and all four light up when the brakes are applied.

Here is the correct operation.

Tail ligts-both top bulbs (two on each side )

Brake lights-outer top bulbs (one on each side)

Turn signals-both bottom bulbs (one on each side)

There are only three bulbs in each housing unless you count the back up light.
