Posted December 24, 200816 yr comment_269605 Went to the shop today to visit #797 before Christmas and took a few shots. The Doors, Hatch, and Hood are just about ready and the new floors should go in on Monday. The whole project is going at a wonderful pace....and so are the dollars. The selling of the TR6 helped offset the cost, but like building a house you always go over budget. The engine is pulled and being cleaned, steamed, painted etc, and once the floors are in the engine bay and body will be painted, hopefully will have some pictures late next week. Here's a few pictures, also included a few of the other cars being restored for some of you British guys. Hope everyone has a wonderful Merry Christmas. December 24, 200816 yr comment_269609 I wonder if anyone has EVER had a restoration, or even a refurb, come in under budget? Thankfully, like childbirth, the memory of the pain generally goes away when you see the final product.Dennis Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/30325-a-little-closer-everyday/#findComment-269609 Share on other sites

December 24, 200816 yr comment_269615 Looking good Randy. I can't wait to see the finished project. I recently got #210 and it is also white. I wasn't sure if I'd like a Z in white or not, until I remembered seeing Diseazd's white 1970 (hope you don't mind me borrowing the picture). Mine will be similar, with a black BRE spook, but with 15" aluminum Le Mans wheels instead of the panasports. -Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/30325-a-little-closer-everyday/#findComment-269615 Share on other sites

December 27, 200816 yr comment_269720 By the way I thought you were bringing me a 4 post lift for Christmas.......:laugh:Unfortunately the lift would not fit in Santa's sleigh (or the Z), so you're just going to have to come down and get it :classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/30325-a-little-closer-everyday/#findComment-269720 Share on other sites
