Bull Run Coming in February

I saw it just announced on the SPEED channel that there will be another Bull Run series coming in February.

I hope they get some better characters & cars this time. Actress wanna-bes driving a Scion isn't my idea of a rally team. Maybe hot babes (is Catherine Bach still hot?) in a Lambo would work? LOL

No official date yet for the show, so watch the TV listings

She reminds my of my old auntie.

I hope the checkin/checkout girls got their act together at least. In the last series, they would just stand there as the cars would leave or drive up. They needed to be more excited about those teams after driving (and rguing!) all day. Like a bunch of "blonde" cheerleaders. :P

I'm also wondering if their obstacles are redesigned so that you won't hurt the cars. The last time, there was one obstacle (a wall of cinder blocks) that you could hit if your stop was too long. The F-150 truck did a number on its front grille when it hit.

The series is nothing like the real race. Lots of bad arse cars, hot chicks and celebrities.

I'll take that to mean the real Bull Run has bad cars & hot chicks, real parties, etc.

The series has no bad cars or hot chicks. They pretty much just pretend they do. They don't even drive fast ( or fast enough to get a ticket.)

I wouldn't be suprised (much) if some of the things (breakdowns, getting lost, etc.) were scripted by the producers, and if you didn't do it, you're booted out.

I wonder if any member here is connected with SPEED TV and knows the real skinny about the TV series, but can't say so.

The program starts Feb 19 at 10 pm eastern on Speed TV, and they usually have it (all the stages) available online later

This year's cars include:

- 1967 VW microbus :beard:

- 2008 Lexus IS250

- 1969 Chevy Camaro

- 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera

- 1970 Dodge Dart :ninja:

- 1971 Detomaso Pantera

- 2003 Ferrari 360 Spider

- 2007 Chevy Avalanche

- 2001 Chevy Corvette :disappoin

- 2007 Shelby Super Snake

- 2006 Pontiac Solstice

- 2006 Mitsubishi Evolution

Sorry, no Z  but I don't think I would want to go through their driving challenges if they are similar to the last time ( like smashing a glass pane with your sail panel.) Last time the Lotus team kept hitting big rocks (in the road!?) with the front spoiler; not what I'd want either.

Hopefully they will have a team of smart, level-headed guys that will win. Getting lost, running out of gas or mechanical breakdowns are fine but the in-car personality conflicts/drama get old very fast, and you get tired of it after a few days.
