I REALLY wanted to win this Ebay auction!

Now that its over, I can post the link, I dont think it was mentioned on here before. It started at $500 with no reserve. I emailed the owner right after it posted and he told me he would ship the parts to me if I didnt want the entire car. NOS hood, front fenders, cowl, hatch, grill, inspection covers. Also a weatherstripping kit and urethane bushings.

I watched it all week, it was sitting at $560 the day it ended. I sat at my desk at work, 15 minutes to go, I log on and it was at $709.99..still, I thought, I am going to bid. I waited patiently, refreshed with 2 minutes to go, $900, one minute to go, $1100, I sadly let it go, it ends at $1280 with 4 seconds left.

I was really hoping to be driving down to Atlanta this morning. Any of you on here the winning bidder?

Most of those NOS parts are still available from your local dealer, fenders, hood, etc, with very little travel time to get them. I talked to him (Really nice guy!) about the parts, He got more than what he was looking for ($1000), and good for him!

Too much money and time for the parts I wanted.

I agree about the seller. He told me I was the 1st to respond about the ad and offered to just pull the parts off and send them to me and HE would pay for shipping. I wrote him back and told him he might want to re-think that offer, it would cost quite a bit to ship.

I am aware that the fenders are still available. For $500 starting price, it was a bargain. Fenders are $265 or so each last time I checked. I really need a hatch(see my avatar).

I plan on stripping my car down and I figured these would have made the job alot easier.

For $1280, though, not worth the $ if you factored in shipping or travel time to get them.

Well, a fully restored car from Al surely included a new hatch LOL

Yes, it did, but his idea of a new hatch, and Nissans are just a wee bit different-not to mention MINE!

I'll have to find a local member to ask to check it out-looks like rust free may be a matter of interpretation, not fact...
