balaguy Posted January 13, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 13, 2009 I was told that I need a shop to do it because they facilitate a lift to support the car equally. I was also told that doing the pans without the car being supported by a lift will cause the car to tweak /change shape because of the unibody const being weakend. ggarrard Posted January 13, 2009 Share #2 Posted January 13, 2009 Andrew - If you are adept with a welder this can be done at home, without a lift. If the car is properly supported on jack stands there should be virtually no flex.
