Good recommendation a friend gave me is to drive it for 2 months with pen and paper and note everything wrong or out of place. Make a list of to do's and then budget up how much it will cost to get done and work from there. Helps to bring the dreams to ground and also plan out the mods :)

Thanks SRBB.

Zealous, I am sure that is good advise too. And I have thought of that while my list and $$ grow larger. I even saw a good post by Carl Beck about leave it stock ( easy for him to say huh :) :).

But is the 60 time really 10 seconds :( on these cars. It seemed fast 33 years ago to me . I cant have any teenies and chickas in VW's just whoop past me on the way to Hooters or something now can I?? It aint the Texas way!

One other thing is after I told my buddies that ALL said --

Are you crazy?

Get rid of that POS . Its junk.

That is a Jap Trap.

If anyone hits that you are dead.

You wont like it.

I am never going to get in it.

Well they all drive Mercedes or Jags or some such - so you know ONE DAY we are likely to get up next to each other. If the SPORTS CAR does not at least make a good show then its going to be tough.

So you see - I've GOT to do it!
