Derek Posted January 31, 2009 Share #14 Posted January 31, 2009 What about his onehttp://global.ebay.com/DATSUN_NISSAN_240Z_260Z_FRONT_METAL_CHROME_BUMPER_BAR/350159719809/itemChrisShipping was almost as much as the bumper. Also the picture he has up is so cheesy you have to wonder about the quality.Derek
lonetreesteve Posted January 31, 2009 Share #15 Posted January 31, 2009 I had all my bumpers re-chromed on my 240Z projects by Denver Bumper Works. They do triple-plate chroming that is superior in quality to the original bumpers and their prices are reasonable. Zak's Z Posted February 1, 2009 Share #16 Posted February 1, 2009 I bought mine from the dealer a year ago. Courtesy Nissan online shows the USA version 62650-n3300 available but not the canadian 62650-n3301.Whats the difference? The Canadian bumper has mounting holes for a snow plow attachment (sorry... winter is getting to me)
whamo Posted February 1, 2009 Share #17 Posted February 1, 2009 (edited) The Canadian bumper has mounting holes for a snow plow attachment (sorry... winter is getting to me) I hadnt thought of that.............. I started to get excited when using the part number search function on Courtesys website, so many parts I heard were not available were suddenly 3-4 days away.:stupid: Edited February 1, 2009 by whamo
Mike B Posted February 1, 2009 Share #18 Posted February 1, 2009 The Canadian bumper has mounting holes for a snow plow attachment I thought the BRE spook was the Canadian snow plow . -Mike
DougN Posted February 2, 2009 Share #19 Posted February 2, 2009 I managed to snag a new NOS '72 front bumper from my Nissan dealership parts guy a few weeks ago (just need overriders now!). If you keep checking every so often, sometimes a part you are looking for will "pop up" on the available parts listing if you get lucky
mikemerkury Posted February 2, 2009 Share #20 Posted February 2, 2009 Anyone know if there is a way to check Nissan parts listing (and NOS parts availability from Japan ), online without bothering any dealership ?
DougN Posted February 3, 2009 Share #21 Posted February 3, 2009 if you want to pay the "big bucks", this guy appears to have a new OEM 70-72 front bumper:http://www.new-datsun-parts.com/datsun-240Z-parts-exterior1.html
Diseazd Posted February 4, 2009 Author Share #22 Posted February 4, 2009 That is a sweet price to pay........I think you can probably rechrome one for 1/2 that price, but it's tempting to get the real deal. Thanks Doug
rickl750 Posted February 9, 2009 Share #23 Posted February 9, 2009 Diseazd,I bought the 260Z bumper from Black Dragon about a year ago. I really didn’t see any difference between the 240 and the 260 unless they sent me the wrong one.Part 99-024 FRONT BUMPER BAR 149.95 my total was $200 with shipping to NJ. Btw, I used it on a 280z and it looks great.Rick
Diseazd Posted February 9, 2009 Author Share #24 Posted February 9, 2009 Rick....Thanks for your reply....Yes it puzzled me why the 260 bumper was so much cheaper than the 240. Was the quality good? Do you know if was an OEM or a knock-off? Thanks Guy
