Posted September 20, 200222 yr comment_16009 the weather stripping in my 1970 240 desperately needs to be replaced (mainly the inner rear hatch) but motorsport wants to charge me 82 bucks for it. my questions are, is there a cheaper place I could find it? and would the cheap stuff from JC Whittney do the job right? thanks, nick Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3072-weather-stripping/ Share on other sites
September 21, 200222 yr comment_16024 I don't know if you can find a cheaper one somewhere else. Motorsports sells factory Nissan parts (OEM) and they fit properly. My philosophy is "Buy cheap, Buy twice". Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/3072-weather-stripping/#findComment-16024 Share on other sites
September 21, 200222 yr comment_16034 Contact Andy Russell at z@datsundude.comor at: 480-217-7322orj at Z Cars of Arizona, at 480-816-8668All his parts are brand new OEM or the high quality replacement parts. I've not been disappointed yet. Even his USED parts are high quality. He's also told me that he can usually BEAT MSA pricing. I don't get anything from this other than helping to keep him in business. Trust me you won't be disappointed with his prices nor his quality. December 30, 200222 yr comment_21803 Actually MSA sells body gaskets by Precision Mfg., which is the same company that we buy from. We have most of the gaskets in stock too. The factory Nissan inner hatch gasket sells for somewhere's in the neighborhood of 130.00. I haven't sold a factory hatch gasket in years, because the ones from Precision are just as good, and about half the price. FYI, this is my first post to this forum.
