Jack T Posted February 7, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 7, 2009 Hello folks.I need to replace the wiper blades on my '70 and I want to retain the original assembly. Is it possible to just change out the inserts and where is the best place to buy inserts?I thought I read a thread a while back where someone posted the part number but could not find it via the search.Thanks.Jack T
Pop's Z Posted February 7, 2009 Share #2 Posted February 7, 2009 Jack, Try MSA. (www.zcarparts.com) That's where I got mine and they are stock Datsun/Nissan part # B889A-45100NW.Cheers, Mike
Arne Posted February 7, 2009 Share #3 Posted February 7, 2009 I bought mine direct from my Nissan dealer. No shipping, and the price was no more than MSA, maybe less.
Zealous Posted February 7, 2009 Share #4 Posted February 7, 2009 I bought some from courtesy nissan awhile back and they still had plenty in stock and if I remember were cheaper than MSA. IMHO may as well get dealer blades. Ill dig up the part numbers when I get home.

Zealous Posted February 8, 2009 Share #7 Posted February 8, 2009 Part numbers Bonzi Lon stated are correct you need to order 2 as they do not come as a pair.Your welcome Jack T
hls30.com Posted February 8, 2009 Share #8 Posted February 8, 2009 One note, if you replace just the actual blades with a silicone variety they will not scratch your windshield as the rubber/OEM variety will, because the blades will not get hard from exposure. If you keep the rubber blades, wipe then down both sides when you fill up with gas and when you wash the car to keep sand and grit from the road from embedding into them-and scratching the windshield the next time your use them. Will
