Distributor question

Hi all

Yesterday i was looking at the two dizzy's i have, i discovered that the one that is in the engine bay of the car have quite a bit of sideway play, witch indicate worn bushings, i also wrote down both the parts number on the dizzy's, they were not the same.

Later i remembered that Arne had one up for sale, that i actually strongly adviced another member to get, i send Arne a PM asking if it still was up for sale, NOT:hurt:.

Next thing was to start looking after a E12-80 and also look up the parts numbers i had wrote down, i was a bit supriced when i found out that the worn out one is a "euro" dizzy and at the same time that one have a Pertronix ignitor module build in:classic:.

Now i like to restore the D606-52 "euro" model if possible.

Here pops the question:

Is it possible to get new bushings / bearings for my dizzy and where.

Chris

You can still get rebuild kits from Nissan. I have 2 E12-80's that all have a different part number on the housing. Just remember the 240 distro is smaller than the later 280 distro's.

Here are some of the E12-80 PN:

Nissan Replaceable Part Numbers:

Breaker plate: 22136-H9501

Pickup coil: 22229-Q1700

Magnet: 22158-S6700

Stator: 22163-Q1700

We call it "de gule sider" (the yellow pages)

Bruce, this little $^!# country is like half size of Oregon and machine shops ain't cheep around here, i had my block bored in Sacramento price $225, here i was quoted $110 a hole + 25% sales tax:cry:.

I could put the advance weights in the other dizzy i have, i'm just anal about having the right stamp on the dizzy body.
