I don't get over there all that much since I haven't owned a 311 since 1997. What I do recall about them is that they are worse 'money pits' than an S30, even back then, and no one really wants to give you anything close to what you've invested in them when it comes time to sell it.

Bonzi Lon,

Location is just my garage for the time being. Within the next year I hope to locate a building to start selling parts and cars from. When projects such as the Z on craigslist comes up, I want to purchase these and make good rolling chassis out of them to sell.

I have a good friend that went to Wyo Tech for body work and another ( his brother) that went there for interior. Myself... I do drivetrain.

It's more of a dream right now and not so much reality as I would like it to be. But, that's where all good things start.

If I dont purchase the Z myself... I will take good pictures and post them on here.

That and many more marquees. I have quite the diversified "collection". You're chris 66 over there?

That they are!LOL It does seem as though the nice examples can fetch good money if the seller is patient, well, at least before our economic condition. Stuff adds up fast when a set of ball joints runs $1000. :ermm: I don't want to add up what is invested in mine, and I did everything except interior, chrome and basic engine assembly. Everything else is garage built, and I'm proud of that. Here are a couple pics.

Something "special" under the bonnet.

This is the only picture I have left of the last one I owned. It was a 70 1600 but it had a 2 liter crank, rods, and pistons, carbs and 5 speed, etc. I owned that one from 1977 to 1997. In those days they could be done for a lot less money. You could actually buy most of the parts at the dealer.

I actually know a lot of Roadster owners who frequent this site. Since our sister site, classicfairlady.com, is down at the moment, this is a good place to start up conversations. I'd love to start discussing the info here because it was really the start to the Z anyway. :)

Alan T. are you listening?:) Seriously, I don't know how well a sub forum for 311s would go over. There was never much traffic on the Roadster sister site when it was operational.
