EuroDat Posted March 10, 2015 Share #703 Posted March 10, 2015 http://devour.com/video/vintage-race-car-crashes/ .......real vintage racing....Nice video. When you watch the section around 1:26 you have to ask yourself who was craziest, the drivers or the public. The car slams into the tree and they don't even flinch. Certainly gives another meaning to diehard fans.

gnosez Posted March 12, 2015 Share #705 Posted March 12, 2015 Ever wonder why one of the European car makers has the ignition on the left side of the steering wheel? Le Mons starts.
conedodger Posted March 12, 2015 Author Share #706 Posted March 12, 2015 Ever wonder why one of the European car makers has the ignition on the left side of the steering wheel? Le Mons starts. It's ok. You're allowed to say Porsche here. I have three of those European cars with the ignition on the left!
gnosez Posted March 12, 2015 Share #707 Posted March 12, 2015 But the question is why does that matter if it's on the left side of the steering wheel?
spitz17 Posted March 12, 2015 Share #708 Posted March 12, 2015 Racing in the old days required a running start. Upon reaching your car, putting it in first gear at nearly the same time you start the engine ensured a quicker start off the line.
