The bar that goes forward through the dash near the centre is what I'm wondering about. It probably continues through the firewall and over to the D/S shock tower. March 10, 20196 yr comment_570613 The above photo is of Andy Flagg's record setter and those B & W photos are of the #33 GTU BSR shell. They were on a roll of undeveloped 35mm film that was part of the trailer full of BSR parts we purchased several years ago. March 10, 20196 yr comment_570616 The car in the B&W photos I’ve owned since 1980. There is a picture of the car on a Page 50 -Orange #39.Well funded National car. The pictures were from 1977 when it was built. You’re confusing it with Sharp’s car because the same fabricator built them Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/30935-lets-show-vintage-racing-pictures-ill-start/?&page=123#findComment-570616 Share on other sites
March 11, 20196 yr comment_570648 I stand corrected. After getting back home from working on my Z and switching glasses, I looked at the photos and I saw similar but slightly different angles. Not the #33 car. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/30935-lets-show-vintage-racing-pictures-ill-start/?&page=123#findComment-570648 Share on other sites

Not the #33 car. gnoseZ, now that you have your good glasses on take a look at the Bonneville car again. It's not Andy Flagg's car. It's the 1970 240Z built by Nissan USA employees and which set the F/GT speed record at Bonneville in 1976. It's part of the Nissan USA collection and was on display at the Lane Museum in Nashville in the photo posted above. Here is a thread I started about it several years ago after I bought the items I included in the post. March 11, 20196 yr comment_570724 Smitty - even with my bondo and spot putty dust covered glasses I have no idea why I should even think that the 280 shown was Flagg's 260 2+2 salt flats car. Too many hours getting the car ready and still I'm a good three weeks behind. Are you running that car (CP, GTU, GT2) and if so with what organization?
