I'm guessing some time in early 1970? 5th July 1970 Its Yasunori TOSHIMORI in his 432-R at the inaugural race for the Hokkaido Speedway circuit. He took a win in the GTS class. The Hokkaido Speedway circuit, located in Shiraoicho - not so far from Noboribetsu's famous onsens and within reasonable travelling distance of Sapporo - seemed like it might become the focus of racing activity for the island of Hokkaido when it opened in 1970. But sadly it was to close in late 1973 after some fatal accidents and legal wranglings, not helped by the 'Oil Shock'. Check out the impressive Hokkaido Speedway ('HISCO') race control tower: 50m tall, according to the report: Edited December 28, 20195 yr by HS30-H added photo Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/30935-lets-show-vintage-racing-pictures-ill-start/?&page=138#findComment-590034 Share on other sites

January 8, 20205 yr comment_590560 It is interesting on the Le Mans car that the fuel was very rich to darken the rear tail panels... but it also looks like a large exhaust leak is also sooting-up the rocker/dogleg/lower driver door area. As the race progresses, the soot stain gets bigger... a soot 24hr "hour glass" ?
