These guys have the best price that I've found so far. I haven't bought from them yet, but I intend to...

I believe that all the early Zs ('70-'78) used the same brake drum.

That place seems to use generic pictures as their drums for a 77 Impala shows the same picture as their drums for a 240Z. There's no way of knowing if the drums they sell are aluminum. Unless you call them. At $47.20 a pair, that would be quite a deal but "Meets or Exceeds OE specifications, Guaranteed Fitment – no modification needed, Premium Quality Materials" doesn't indicate to me that they are aluminum. My guess would be that those are aftermarket cast iron drums which might be okay for doorstops or paperwieghts:). Black Dragon lists cast iron drums for $89.95 ea with no mention of aluminum and I would imagine MSA's at the same price are also cast iron.

well this wasnt for the datsun they were for my subaru. i guess i should have mentioned that. but... if you order from them make sure they have it in stock first. because they dont stock a lot of product that they sell. most of it isnt made until you order it.

The drums that I bought from Motorsports Auto in June of last year were aluminum. I can't say that they ones the sell today still are of course.

Checking my receipt from last year, they charged me $90.95 each for two drums.

I think that they were Brembo parts, and there was a thread here somewhere that claimed Brembo had stopped making the drums for the Z.

Still, it wouldn't hurt to call Motorsports and ask...

I have a used set of aluminum drums I picked up during a recent visit to the local pick-n-pull that appear to be within tolerance. They came attached to a complete struts assys I bought just for the 280z stub axles. I'm only looking to recoup the cost of the parts. PM me if you're interested and I'll figure out what it would cost to ship them to Germany along with any other costs if you want them professoinally spec'd/turned before being shipped.
