racebird1 Posted March 8, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 8, 2009 The contour of the mounting straps don't look like it will go on a 75 to 78 bumper. Those edges are a bit more square that your bar
spencer allen Posted March 11, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted March 11, 2009 I guess nobody knows. I bought these (I have 2) new from a Nissan/Datsun dealership in TX over the phone. They had had them new in stock since the 70's. They said they were for a 240z car and I got them thinking one would fit my 240z. It didnt. When i called them back they said they were just listed as fitting a z-car and wouldnt take them back. This was all about 10-15 years ago and I have been dragging them around with me not knowing what they fit or what to do with them... Any help would be appreciated..... Arne Posted March 11, 2009 Share #4 Posted March 11, 2009 I've never seen one of those for a 240/260/280Z that had a center support mount. No place for a center support to bolt to an an S30.If they truly are for a Z car, might be for a ZX...
overdrivex Posted March 11, 2009 Share #5 Posted March 11, 2009 (edited) doubt its for a zx cause the over rider would cover the turn signals on the bumpers-well thats assuming it covers the length of the front bumper Edited March 11, 2009 by overdrivex
Tarmac Posted March 12, 2009 Share #6 Posted March 12, 2009 My '70 240Z (sn 09253) doesn't have the center support.
carguyinok Posted March 12, 2009 Share #7 Posted March 12, 2009 Being that they came from a dealership did they have a part number? I will look on my 72 and 73 bumpers later today and see if they have a hole in the center of the bumpers.
spencer allen Posted March 12, 2009 Author Share #8 Posted March 12, 2009 (edited) no, there is no part number. Its not for a 72 240z. thats what I have and if I remember right ,the overider bars were dealer installed items and I think I had to drill holes in the bumper of my 240z to make the (correct) rear overider bar fit. It has been awhile. Edited March 12, 2009 by spencer allen
