Caen Fred Posted September 25, 2002 Share #1 Posted September 25, 2002 I have little hope for this one! One of my fellow Zen club member, asked me the strangest question I heard for years, he (think) saw 20 years ago an ad for an after-market mod for the 280ZX, it was a gull-wing doors conversion kit, does it ring a bell to someone here? :disappoin I don't think it's a good idea :disappoin I don't think it would make a pretty car :disappoin It leaks enough already... But I must be trustful so I ask...
Doehring Posted September 25, 2002 Share #2 Posted September 25, 2002 Fred, the car exists and it belongs to a member of the german Zand ZX club. It is white. I have a picture of the car and I hope I can add it here after scanning. Rolf
Caen Fred Posted September 25, 2002 Author Share #3 Posted September 25, 2002 Endless...What can I say, I keep going deeper and deeper toward the dark side of the Z world and I cannot find any limits! Thanks a lot for your reply, fast and efficient. So now, tell me more about it if you can, is it really a kit, or is it home made?Does the car venture in our country from time to time? Thanks, Fred
Doehring Posted September 25, 2002 Share #4 Posted September 25, 2002 Fred, as far as I know it was a kit made by a company called Vestastec. I still have the ZX front spoiler - as on the picture below the "lightful" bumper - and a rear spoiler (both for sale, by the way) from that company. The car belongs to Mr. Thomas Theimer. Look at www.z-zx-club.de, Mitglieder, Postleitzahl 6, Theimer. I add another pic from that side. Vive la Rochelle Rolf
Rob Posted September 25, 2002 Share #5 Posted September 25, 2002 There is no way I would ever want one but that is pretty cool.Glad they did it to a ZX and not a Z though.
