Lars Peter, i have a spare combo swich as you know, you are welcome to test with that one, you probably remember my head light problem, it was a wire that was broken off at my combo swich, we just soldered it on and all is fine, maybe you should go trugh the soldering on the combo swich.

This might be a job for Dave (Zsondabrain)

I’m not sure it’s a problem with the combo switch – the wiper motor reacts and does a new thing every time I switch the combo switch to a new setting (Off / Intermediate / Low / High). I have overhauled the combo switch – cleaned the contacts and made sure there are no loose connections. I therefore don’t think it is a problem with the combo switch – thanks for the offer though!

Abort mission – I figured it out!

The problem was, that the park locating – and intermediate controlling – switch, located on top of the motor/gear mentioned above was switched on all the time and could therefore not “feel” the position of the wiper motor. Now I just have to raise the “cup” about one millimetre – then everything works!

If you have the same problem, the way to check if the switch is on when it’s not supposed to is to park your wipers somewhere on the window (where the switch is not supposed to be on) and the measure the resistance between the yellow and blue/red wire at the connection in the engine room. If there is no resistance the switch is on and you have a problem – if on the other hand the resistance is infinity then the switch works correct.

hello. I have a problem with the regulators, i purchased my car from the origoinal owner. the car sat in his garage for 20 years with no protection at all, it all rusted up. i cant get them apart for cleaning. i tried soaking them in rust solution but to no avail. i am stumped

Regulators? Do you mean the Wiper Pivots and not the Window Regulators?

Presuming it's the pivots, remove whatever remains of the rubber boot, and then carefully remove the metal "o-ring" clip that holds the shaft in side the body of the pivot. Then, carefully actuate the pivot while pressing down on the shaft and the body supported to allow the shaft to work it's way out.

You might consider your own post rather than tacking on to this one.
