Posted March 12, 200916 yr comment_277151 When I was installing my new refurbished Z clock in my 71 240Z, I Noticed at the top left corner of the glove box was a little white push button. Mine was not connected to anything, but later found the wire that it goes to. I did not see where a light would fit, what is this little button for? March 12, 200916 yr comment_277152 The bulb socket is behind the white button. It's pretty much self-contained. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31132-mysterious-part/#findComment-277152 Share on other sites
March 12, 200916 yr comment_277154 My factory parts catalog lists a 'switch assy.--glove box with lamp'. It's #36 in the diagram, p/n 25720-73000. I believe the 3W bulb plugs into the back side of the switch. It probably works like the door switches; i.e., 12V is always there; when the plunger comes out, it makes the ground.
