Posted March 15, 200916 yr comment_277529 Does anybody know where to find fittings to plug the holes in the balance tube after you remove the pollution gear? It appears that two plugs are M10 and the other is M14. I can't find metric plugs anywhere and nothing Imperial seems to coincide close enough to use. I'm sure some of you have done this, what did you use? Thanks, Best to all Bob Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31164-balance-tube-plugs/ Share on other sites

March 15, 200916 yr comment_277548 AutoZone has small bolts for this. You might have to order them due to the stock being 0. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31164-balance-tube-plugs/#findComment-277548 Share on other sites

March 8, 201114 yr comment_348610 The threads on the manifold are BSPT (British Standard Pipe Threads). Not sure if these are identical to the "Japanese" threads mentioned in one of the sites referenced by Enigma. March 17, 201113 yr comment_349566 I used the commonly available NPTF pipe plugs. 1/8" and 1/4" will fit.The thread form on the NPTF is different than the BSPT. 50 vs. 60 degree included angle on the thread but they are compatible enough for this application.
