Recommended Posts

Love the Alpha, have always wanted one -- something about my being half Italian and the car is just sexy. There was a shop nearby that specialized in them when I lived on Lake Union in Seattle. For American iron, of course I loved the Corvette from Route 66 with Marty Milner and George Maharis (sp). I watched those shows in reruns when I was a kid, at least I think they were reruns. Not sure at 6'6" whether I'd be a good fit. For something practical a nice BMW 2002tti w/ sunroof. I'm German, French and Czech on my mom's side and not particularly fond of any French cars I can think of and not sure the Czechs make any at all unless they were making FIATs under license.

I had some cars in my life

I had a 1991 Lotus Elan, a 1986 Alfa Spider, a 1988 Escort RS Turbo, a Alfa Romeo Sprint, a Porsche 924, and the 240z... and now after some years "inside" this matter of old cars, i just prefer have my 240z complete rebuild and reliable and have some fun driving it.

Besides that i must say that driving my LOTUS ELAN, was fantastic for a 1.6 liter and 165HP and 800 kg... faster like a Mercedes Benz 500SE - "English magazine - 1992"

After crash i tried to by another, will see....

Besides that i already drive 911 turbo with 420 hp, really fast, BMW 850 I, but still like my 240z, it`s a easy and low cost maintenance :classic:

Petrol costs over here are very expensive...

Gaaa. Don't get me started. I've already got 1970 Suburban that needs wiring run, a Z that needs a paint job, a 510 that needs an SR20DET and an L31ET that needs a body shell to reside in.

Maybe I could squeeze in a Volvo P1800?

Zedyone_kenobi, a friend of mine had a Junior GT when we were all far too young to appreciate it. Got it for a song as the used car dealer selling it didn't know any better either, LOL.

Best handling car I've ever driven and amazingly quick. Maintencance was a chore (12 quarts of oil for a 1.6 litre four-banger, LOL) and don't even think of adjusting the valve clearances yourself.

All in all WAY too much fun...his next car, in order to keep his license, was a VW Bug, LOL.

I've always been partial to the P1800ES Wagon personally. I just love the glass hatch.

If I had to add to my list it's be a Porsche 928. Another of my dad's old cars:D

Here is a couple of pictures of what I am expecting it to look like except mine will have the original hubcaps. I will post pics when finished.
