April 1, 200916 yr comment_279477 When will you all break down, and buy a Mac? No viruses, they never break down, and they now run all of the Microsoft software.I have no anti-virus on my Mac, and I've never had a problem. And no, I don't work for Apple. I just don't understand why people still use PC's, except that they are cheaper to buy then Macs. But once you factor in all of the down time, repairs, anti-virus software, etc., that you need to keep Windows-based machines running, is a PC really cheaper? :stupid: I paid $1,200 for a 20" iMac, and not a penny on it since. And the Confliker wasn't written for Mac's, so I have no worries about today. Just my .02. It is just a matter of priority and market share. Back in the early 1990's most viruses were targeted specifically at Mac users because they tended to be less tech savvy and as a result the platform was considered a soft target. It was only when the boys (and girls) in Redmond became successful that they became the primary target. What comes around goes around as they say. April 1, 200916 yr comment_279479 You're right Johnny, I should stop trying to convert people to Mac users. If too many people come over, the hackers will start writing viruses and worms for Mac. I digress, Macs suck, don't anybody every buy one. I first used a Mac 512K in 1985. They were a big upgrade from the original Mac which only had 128K of memory. In my house I currently have an iMac that I bought for my son when he was 2. We upgraded him to a Mac Mini when they came out. I also have various PCs; some of them run Windows (XP and Vista) and some of them run Linux and some dual boot for both. The one thing they all have in common is that they're good at some things and frustrating at others. None of them are perfect. I'm always wary of anyone who proclaims one specific platform superior to all others.
