Dunno about that. $21k for a really clean, possibly rust-free 240Z like that red one sounds like a decent deal to me, even if it does have ugly wire basket wheels. I know that I probably wouldn't sell mine for much less than that.

duPont Registry anything = EXPENSIVE

That black and grey Z is a Hybridz.org member's car.

The "user name" escapes me, but he is a member here also. I followed the posts on the cars reconstuction where he explained why this low VIN car was not restored to original condition, because of the large amount of missing parts. It was also advertized for sale in Europe recently, I believe. As far as the asking price goes, you can't blame him for starting on the high side, hoping to snag an impulse buyer.

Car #!-'Restoration'? It's a V8. the Hack Shack?

I guess 'resto-mod' would be a more accurate term. The car was missing its motor and many of the other early parts when he got it. Here is a link to an old thread about the car.

the red car sounds about right for a truly restored z. the black and silver one sounds kinda pricey for a modified z but its looks to be a very extensive and heavy refresh. either way the both look nice.

Why is it that the bulk of people on this forum always try to talk down the price of cars for sale, I take it that we all own zeds ? and who wouldn't want to see the the value increase. To that end I hope these prices are met , the higher the prices then the longer the marque will live.

The red 240Z is a nice looking car, but that "rust proofing" looks more like rust cover up on the suspension. They just sprayed right over everything. Looks like bedliner or spray-on undercoating.
