Hi,

I really wanted to bid on this one, because I saw the picture and thought this is very good original for 240Z.But you can see the front tube,it has a little bid different curve, due to avoid a pan of an automatic transmission.

This one was local pick up only!!I cried:cry:

Mike's picture of 20010-N3000 with the pipe connection style is clearly the later / replacement version. And the Japanese version to boot!

Chris, according to the old dealer parts price list/part number supersession listing books I have (10/82 and 1/90), part number 20010-E4100 was superseded by 20010-N3000.

Funny Kats, I was considering bidding on that one too and asking someone to pick it up and ship it to me. If I had known then about the differences we are discussing now I probably would have.

Hi Kats - If a worthwhile item came up that was pickup only, there very well could be a member near by to assist you. I doubt if it would be worthwhile shipping that exhaust system all the way to Japan though. The seller might still have it and we very well may see it listed again. For some odd reason it was rendered "no longer for sale", but it was sold once before also.

Easy to contact. Phone number is in the description. We do have a member closeby too.

Kats, so the E4100 tail pipe is only chromed on the end of the tip and the rest of it is just painted black? The later tail pipes are all chrome.

Yes,right. Mike:)

Thanks geezer, yes I had a experience some of members here kindly helped me about shipping.

Last time I flew to L.A., I have got a console from a member here, and another member here shipped a original Bridgestone tire to my hotel at Ledondo.

I was carring both console and tire with my two flight bags at LAX,

they were too much but I was very very happy:love:

Today I am in Frankfurt,Germany. Nice place, I love to see Porche.

I would like to go to the Porche musium.

Kats,

I always enjoy your contributions to forum discussions. I am trying to put together a stock exhaust system just like yours, including the same downpipe and Y connector.

Could you tell me what the finish is on your system? Is it powder coated, high temp paint, or just bare metal? Looks great!

Hi Dan,

Thank you for that, my exhaust system is just a cheap work, I did it by myself just a can spray(heat prove/hight temp paint), so I painted 3 times in 8 years.

My Z432 exhaust system also got rusty on the tail tube, last week I painted with a spray can.

As long as I drive my Zs regularly,I need to paint time to time.To tell the trues, both my Zs are dirty! My web's pictures can not tell the trues;)They are the past, not recently.

Mike, those are great books! I have the USA and Canada parts catalog, 4th overall revised master binder December 1973 and I couldn't find the N3000. The numbers revise as; E4100 to E8700 to N3399 and N3300. It was my copy of the Japanese parts book that listed the N3000. And yes it does supersede E4100 there also.

Hey Kats! Make plans to come to the convention in San Antonio!

Hi Chris!!

The Z national convention,

I wish I can go with my Z432 there,it could be a great great memory.

Mr.K become 100 years old this year!

But I do not have money and time to bring my Z...Or some one in San Antonio willing to buy my Z432, I will ship it there:stupid:

Yes I am still thinking about fly there with my family like 3 years ago!
