Posted April 13, 200915 yr comment_280596 I have this 76 280z that im not sure what to do with. I work a lot out of my home state of Virginia. My initial thought was to sell the running motor w/5 speed and drop a 350 w/5 speed in it. I sat in the car this weekend and wondered what to do with it? I have had offers to buy but have turned them down. I am thinking that the parts would be worth more than the whole but hate to take a car that has maybe three hours on the body and of course some interior work. It also is short front and rear fenders as well. My thinking is that I have Vehicles that I get more pleasure out of than I would the Z, the 2 KZ inlines are my true passion. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on this matter?ThanksBill Edited April 13, 200915 yr by doncos70 added text Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31493-what-to-do-with-this-280z-im-my-garage/ Share on other sites

One of the neatest things about it is you don't need to go 150 mph to feel like you're driving...2. Do some research on V8 swap vs. upgrades on stock. L28's are tough. You can generate plenty of power and it won't be as much hassle.3. If not, sell it to a good home as a project. You might be able to part out and get slightly more money, but it's a pain and karma will not be impressed...Hope you keep the Z. They're great...(I kinda sound like an animated tiger...)
