Considering Parting with my Z .......

Griffon

Just letting you all know (if anyone cares) that I no longer own a Z. It sold today and I got what I wanted to get for it. Now, I'll retun to my (self-imposed) exhile:) I'll look in on you guys now and then but I just can't deal with the drama.

8,024 posts and you can't deal with the drama? you are this board Stephen

Why did yo sell, do you want a carbed version:D

Nah, no carbs here except for the Weber on my truck (that will soon be gone also). This site doesn't need me. As I get older I get less tolerant of the BS I guess and even tend to contribute some of my own. As I've never been one to back down it's easier to just back away. I'm only partially to blame for what took place and the other party in it refuses to accept his share of blame or even discuss it with me so we'd still have a problem if I visited on a regular basis, so I won't/can't. But you guys (for the most part) are still the best!

None of my busisness, except I like many, have received much from you. Sorry to see you give someone else free rent in your head. Whether you stay or go, try to let the resentment go. It only hurts you. Well, it's hurt Classiczcar quite a bit, too. Best of luck!!

Stepehn, I was saddened to read you were not going to be on here any longer. Hopefully you read this so you see my heart felt thank you for all the expertise you have shared with me this past year.

I FINALLY got my car on the road last Sunday. After trying alot of different things, replacing parts, reading manuals, etc, it seemed a replacement AFM cured my trouble. It was nice to get her on the road (even though it was only a couple miles) I owe you a debt of gratitude.

Hopefully, you reconsider some day, I still have a way to go :)

Take care

Not to be rude why is this all in my parting with my Z thread? This should all be in its own thread....

Not to be rude, but do we even need a "parting with my Z" thread? Why not just post it in the classified ads section?

I'm sure I'll catch hell for this but Griffon does have a point. It Is his post and it is Z related so he really does have every right to complain.

He's just trying to politely say that the soap opra above belongs elsewhere which I kinda have to agree. Sorry :)

I agree that the Sblake01 related posts don't belong in the thread, but I don't think we really need people posting for sale ads in threads either. If he has a question about whether he should sell or not, that is fine. He got several opinions about that and what his car might sell for, even though the thread comes across as more of an ad for the car to me. However, I don't see the need to bring the thread back 6 weeks after the last post by asking for offers.

Offers???

Took her out of the garage last week :)

Yea, but Mike! Don'cha love the drama? The poor guy's thread turned into all this reminiscence about selling the Z and moving on to the next chapter. Love it! Personally, I'm back from a previous car chapter.

Now, I don't necessarily agree with some of the comments about the car in question. I think it's worth every penny of the insured value. I can think of a Z that won every top award given in the Z community and it is valued at three times the $24k figure. Sure, as with any car, to achieve the top value in sale, one must find the 'right' buyer. And the "share the same vision" comment was probably the most appropriate. I would suggest marketing the car in that direction to that sort of audience.

Sorry to see you split, Stephen. If I had some spare money, I'ld buy your truck.

I wish you luck in selling your car. Times are certainly rough. I'm hoping I won't need to make similar choices anytime soon. Looks like you have another project car in the garage there. Is that a Supra turbo I see there? That's another car I've wanted for a while.
