September 25, 200915 yr comment_295694 My 72' has them! a few screws mount them to the inside and a bent clip catches the wheelwell edge. Certainly looks factory. I'll snap a picture on the weekend.Reg Joe Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31534-tips-or-tricks-to-removing-the-front-bumper-and-lower-valances/?&page=2#findComment-295694 Share on other sites
September 26, 200915 yr comment_295798 Here is a bad picture of my drivers side liner and an ok pick of the Nissan label with the part number. The liner is plastic and does attache to a 'factory' looking clip welded just behind the bumper end bolt. September 26, 200915 yr comment_295801 63881-N4200 Used on both the Coupe and the 2+2, as of 6/76Per the Z Club Microfiche. Slides # 126-7 L26 & L28E Body; and 149-7 2+2 L26 & L28E BodyAs I wrote, they may have been added later or your fenders may have been replaced with later style fenders, but the 71's didn't have them as stock equipment. This is a good example why the Z Club CD will help decipher oddities as well as make it easy to determine what will and won't fit on your car.FWIWE Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31534-tips-or-tricks-to-removing-the-front-bumper-and-lower-valances/?&page=2#findComment-295801 Share on other sites
September 27, 200915 yr comment_295826 Cool Beans,So when I get around to re-assembling my 72' it would be more correct not to replace the liners. That equals some 'black' ink on my restoration P&L statement. Hmmmm, I think I can now afford that 280 I saw on ebay.... September 29, 200915 yr comment_295962 Ok, finally got a couple of pics of what i have. kinda crappy, but you should be able to see the tin foil thin metal i'm talking about. they're shaped with a soft radius and don't look homemade, just beat up. pass side is torn, driver side looks like it was trimmed at some point. the texture of the liner (not a coating, paint or undercoating) is like a hammered metal. September 29, 200915 yr comment_295972 Bart,Those sure dont look like what I took outta my '77 a few weeks back. Mine are plastic. They have been undercoated as well and attach with 7 or 8 sheet metal screws. Those look to be a homemade job.
