Hi guys! This is my first post, so please dont flame me!!

Right now i have a 95 240, and a 92 jeep, but my buddie has a 72, or 73 z that he will sell to me for $500. its not in great cond, and it doesnt run, but i have the means to fix all that.

now my question to you is, how hard is it to drop a chev 350 in??

Im sure this has been asked many MANY times, but i just saw the sweetest 240z movie (clip of darius and his 240z with a turbo V8)

I about crapped my pants!!!

IT WAS SWEET! and i want it.

So is this a good deal, and is it easy to make it fast?

Before you make too many plans, you should do a search here for all the posts on rust issues and go over the chassis of the car with a fine tooth comb. If there is significant rust in the chassis, you will be wasting your time and money. You wouldn't be the first person who bought a Z only to dig into it and find out someone has patched the chassis back together to cover all the rust that has eaten away a significant amount of the uni-body.

Darius may have a nice car, but way he drives on the street will only end up getting him in a lot of trouble. Then all the money for the car will end up in a lawyers pocket.

Darius spent big bucks on that 240... But V8 swaps can be done pretty cheaply if you know your stuff - not sure how much help you'll get here though as most of us appreciate the car for what it was meant to be not what you can make it into...

Check out www.hybridz.com for a community of Zcar engine swapping enthusiasts ;)

That said, dont forget this place - the guys here haev an amazing knowledge of the Z cars expanding to more than just the engine ;)
