Battery ate my fender

Does anyone know a good place to by a new batter holder/support ( not a tray) and any suggestions on the cheapest, way to handle the rusted out hole in the fender? Wire mesh, mold some metal, cut a piece out of a good one???

with mine i took brass brush and cleaned it out than went over it with rust converter. the brush on kind.

I'm afraid that finding a donor is you're best option but that won't be easy since this area is a common problem. I'd also be sure to properly take care of the surrounding metal that is still solid but at risk.

I was worried that was going to be the response. I guess i will start hunting.

Keep an eye on ebay, they show up now and then. I bought a donor section last fall, mint codition with plenty of overlapping area all around. I think I paid $80., but I figured it was cheaper than paying someone to fabricate one since I don't weld.
