Bob Sharp Racing

Hello Classic Zcar community!

My name is David and I am from Slovakia.

I am studying design of wood at the School of Applied Arts in the capital- Bratislava. I am interested in historic racing cars and prototypes from my childhood. My favourite racing "beasts" "D are the Datsun 240Z and 260Z, especially the ones with the wide imsa body kits like the Bob Sharp Racing cars.

Thanks to Bobby Hanwey, author of custom 240Z, who recommended me this forum I gain a lot of new info about the Datsun cars. Here is really lot of material about these cars, and as I am a newbie in this area I am amazed with the amount of areas related to this topic, many Datsun owners and fans and about the discipline of the people renewing or creating own Datsun concepts.

I would like to create scale model of one of Bob Sharp´s Datsuns, so I would like to ask you all if you are able to provide me some pictures, informations, scans or blueprints(or left, right, top, bottom images) to create most realistic replica. I would like to make it scale 1/1 in the future. Hopefully the dreams won´t by ruined by the economic crisis...

PS

Here I upload some cars which I mean exactly, there are also some similiar shape Datsun racing or private prototypes, I appreciate any kind of help:

Hello David:

Good to have you here. Your "English" is far better than many of us here in the U.S. and most certainly far better than most in Canada.ROFL

Did you live in a country, in the past, where English was the standard language?

At any rate - good luck with your wood working project. I'll go through some of my files and see if there is anything that would be of use, that you already don't have.

regards,

Carl B.
