Two areas of concern...

Now that I have drivin the Z for a whole week there are two things that I have noticed and I have some questions about them.

#1

When I turn the key to the on position all my gauges come on. My fuel gauge goes up and stops. Then when I get moving in the car it continues to raise then stops. Which is the right reading? I would think as a vacuum is created it makes the gauge raise after I start driving it. Idk???

#2

At about 50 mph the shifter on my auto trany starts to shake pretty bad. Is there something loose?

The vaccum has nothing to do with the electric fuel gauge. Just remember the the fuel gauges are slow to respond, so as the vehicle moves, the needle will respond accordingly. Both of my Z's do the same thing, and so does my mini van. On the Z's, the more left turns and uphill drives that you do, the higher the reading, as the sender is on the right side of the tank.

It also sounds like the trani mounts are tired or loose. And the motor mounts are also likely the cause. Wheel vibration can be transfered to the motor and trani just as easy. When's the last time the wheels were ballanced?
