Engine won't turn over

I've made it this far with everyones help, thanks, Now one big problem. I removed a broken bolt, re-installed the thermostat housing. I'm trying to start my 73 240Z after 2 years in the garage. I changed the oil, put marvel mystery and oil in the cylinders, new battery, water, fuel filter etc. When I try and turn ti over, it makes a clucking noise. I can see the cooling fan move when I try a start the car, so I don't think its the starter.

Am I doomed or is there someway I can get things moving. Thanks for all you advice, I hope there is a positive answer to this.

can you turn the engine over with a ratchet and socket on the crank shaft bolt?? Now most likely you will need to pull the pluggs first. If you can turn the engine over this way then it isn't frozen up , I f the batt. is fully charged and it wont turn over with the key and the plugs are out you most likely have a bad connection some where , check the ground wire. How long has this engine been setting sence the last time it ran? This clunking noise , is it the starter engaging , that noise or is it when the engine is turning over ?? I am sure that you know that fluid will not compress , how much oil did you inseart into the cylinders ??Gary

If it has sat for a while I suggest cleaning the battery connections at the block/solenoid.Also should you opt to turn it over without sparkplugs, you want a towel or such in front of the holes. You will spray oil across your shop if you don't.
