Posted April 24, 200915 yr comment_281588 MSA is backordered for months on this kit. Black Dragon is out as well. Anyone know where I can get the full kit for a 2/75 production 280? Thanks in advance. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31626-weatherstrip-kit/ Share on other sites
April 24, 200915 yr comment_281638 I ordered a weatherstrip kit from MSA and was told 3-4 weeks backorder, so will see how long it takes. April 24, 200915 yr comment_281644 We at ZTherapy are proud to announce that we too have joined the ranks of the weatherstrip "out house". Ever since the supplier moved to the mid-west, "in order to streamline our operations" things have pretty well gone to hell in a hand basket supply wise. April 24, 200915 yr comment_281649 I think the supplier was Precision Rubber Products or something like that... They were in the PacNW. I guess I should feel lucky to have my box of weatherstripping in the garage... April 24, 200915 yr comment_281655 I waited almost 5 or 6 months last year for my kit to arrive from MSA. Luckily I wasn't in a hurry to put it in and it didn't keep me from driving the car any. April 24, 200915 yr Author comment_281671 FYI I just scored one thru Black Dragon- I needed the 260-early 280 kit, they have 2 left if you need one. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31626-weatherstrip-kit/#findComment-281671 Share on other sites
April 26, 200915 yr comment_281841 I bought all 3 of my weatherstrip kits for my 240Z projects from the same seller on Ebay called Glendaletruckparts (out of the Phoenix area). All 3 sets made for 240Z/260Z & 280Z. There were a couple of extra pieces for 280Zs only (upper door weatherstrip set) that I ended up selling on Ebay. All 3 sets were manufactured by Precision, were fully complete, excellent in quality, fit very well and at a decent price. The last set I bought a little over a year ago for my latest project was $225.00 plus $25.00 shipping. The 2 previous 2 sets I bought a few years back were $200.00 plus $25.00 shipping. I just checked Ebay and it doesn't look like he has any listed right now. He may have run out again. May 2, 200915 yr comment_282493 The Precision weatherstrip kits that I talked about earlier are back on Ebay, still out of Phoenix, but under a different name: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DATSUN-COMPLETE-WEATHERSTRIP-KIT-DATSUN-240Z-260Z-280Z_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a7Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a0Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem4a97536bd8QQitemZ320366406616QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Edited May 2, 200915 yr by lonetreesteve Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31626-weatherstrip-kit/#findComment-282493 Share on other sites
May 3, 200915 yr comment_282504 why would you use like three different usernames? I noticed they're using another name out of Surprise, Ariz. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31626-weatherstrip-kit/#findComment-282504 Share on other sites
May 3, 200915 yr comment_282515 why would you use like three different usernames? I noticed they're using another name out of Surprise, Ariz.I'm not exactly sure, but I would guess that they changed it from GlendaleTruckParts since they also sell parts for cars and not just the truck market. What's the third name? All I can say is whatever their name is, I was very happy with the three weatherstrip kits I purchased from them and my body guy really likes the quality and fit when he installs the kits on my Zs.
