May 5, 200915 yr comment_282801 Is this legal in EP? BTW Greg won at Daytona this past weekend in EP. Sorry I wasn't there for pics.Good question. I looked at the GCR, the 240 is listed as prep level 2 and this may fall under the final drive section, it states:o.5 - Axle shafts, bearings, bearing carriers, hubs and universal joints/CV joints are unrestricted. With that said, knowing the SCCA, it wouldn't surprise me if they were declared illegal... May 5, 200915 yr comment_282815 Under section 5.d.4.d of GCR you are not allowed to modify bering carrier (level 2 prep:rolleyes) specifly mentioned 9.1.5.E.2.o.5 (the section you mentioned) This negates the afore mentioned. But the part in question is offically called by NISSAN a stub axle (and implies part of the drive line)therefore you should be able to modify or sub it (axles are free in GCR) as long as it fits the unmodifed housing. We were considering going to a 5 lug system (lot more choices of wheels and stronger) which would be ok for the rears but not for the front hubs (could not change bearing carriers) so were stuck with the 4 bolt system.
