Wanted to share the results of your help in finishing up my 77 280z so I added some pics here.

Its only about 85% original though -

1. Has a 240z console

2. Has new CD player and speakers in the back

3. Hatch floor changed from sloping to flat

4. Side mirrors are not original

5. Rear Window defogger has been replaced with new kit

6. Has 240z wooden steering wheel

7. Has a rebuilt five speed tranny from another 77 Z

8. Has a dash cap

9. Has a 91 Honda Civic AC blower

Paint is GM Red/Oeange with a light Pearl touch.

It is now my daily driver and is so much fun thanks to ya'll.

Here are a few pics of the interior. Trying to keep it close to original as I can. Not fan of making these beautiful machines into race cars. Racing is fine but it is for younger guys, I'm an old-timer.

I did try to dress it up little with the new steering wheel and and the new stereo but that is about as fat as I'll go altering the interior.

Funny, you used the word "fat" unintentionally yet in proper context. You're car is definintely looking "fat"; as in sick, boss, cool, bitchen, rad, pick. :)

How do you know it's unintentional? Some of us old timers are up to date. Although, I'll admit that whenever I show any of that it's probably because on being around my 28 yr. old son.

It may not have been Stephan..... I merely made an assumption based on the context of sentence and the likelihood that the intended word was actually the word "far, combined with the fact that the the letter "t" is right next to the "r" and could very easily have been pressed by mistake. Make sense?

Car looks great! One question, you said in your first post that you have a 240Z center console, however the one in your photos looks like a standard 280Z console to me?
Looks like a 280Z console to me also except for that 'plug n chug' cup holder (or whatever it's called) but this statement probably explains that:
I am a terrible typer - typos are my normal way - even though I may spell check the thing.................

Interior looks really good, especially that dashboard.....Hey do those pioneers move around alot on turns in the back of the hatch? you should get a custom box made for them.....Are you going to get some nice rims on the Z?
