May 14, 200915 yr comment_283737 Tom, you are correct, it's a V-12. About the same gas mileage as my Escalade, about 12mpg. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31839-what-is-your-daily-driver/?&page=5#findComment-283737 Share on other sites

May 14, 200915 yr comment_283753 Ttiger. Is your 87 maxima SE nice? My dad had one new in 87 and I had one in 95. I know that was one of his favorite cars ever. May 14, 200915 yr comment_283755 87 Maxima....brings back bad memories. I had one in 1995-96 and all it did was give me trouble. It ran allright but electrical gremlins led me to getting rid of it. Like the digital instrument cluster that would go blank whenever it felt like it and just as mysteriously return or the shifter that occasionally wouldn't come out of park. May 15, 200915 yr comment_283760 Very cool!!! My dad (Diseazd) and I recently re-built the motor. 97 528 M52 engine with variable valve timing, new rings, new bearings, M3 cams, ARP head studs, OBDI intake manifold and a 93 525 VVT DME. Vogtland springs, Koni shocks, ACS type III wheels. Euro head and tail lights but I did the Acura TSX projector retro-fit with Philips D2S HID's. I just keep thinking with all the $ spent on this car, I could have an M5 Tomwas.... Love the volvo Bertone coupe. Very cool!!! I miss my Volvo 850R wagon Lovin soundmasterg's old school volvo as well!!! By the way five&dime, thanks for the Bertone comp, i always liked them and wanted one, now i've been driving it about a month after working on it for a couple of months... Had my fun and now it's time to sell it... I work for a living but have been buying and selling 2,7 and 940 series Volvos as a side hobby for over 20 years now, usually 5 or 6 a year... That is one sweet dime you've got there, couple of guys in my Ct. Z car club have them also... Our Club advisor and fellow member is Bob Sharp, talk about being in the presence of glory.. What a great down to earth guy though, he even signed my ZX shock tower and a Z poster i've got........ Once I got divorced I started buying Z cars and other rides I always wanted, had a couple preludes, 3 BMW's, one Beemer was an 80's grey market 740i turbo car,had that one about a month and a half and sold it, life's too short, gotta have fun.............. May 15, 200915 yr comment_283763 I have always like the bertone body style. At one time I was considering getting one and doing a wild engine swap. But then I realized I was an idiot with no money and the last thing I needed was a $ pit. They do look nice as coupe's. And they are RWD correct? Thanks for the compliments on my car!! I got the opportunity to take the 510 out on the track at summit point recently with the East Coast 510 meet. It was a blast. We camped out just off the track. There were 19 street cars and 6 track cars. I took tons of photos. My car was amazing on the track. We did parade laps behind Bryan Redman in a classic 911. Then a few of us discovered that the new drift track was left unattended The last photo is of Bryan Redman being followed by my friend David driving Pete Brock's old 510!! May 17, 200915 yr comment_283940 My daily driver is a 1999 Hyundai Accent. Decent gas mileage and it helps me improve my customizing techniques before I start using them on the Z. May 18, 200915 yr comment_284076 I used to use my Z as a daily until it got stolen in 2001. It's still quite capable of being a daily driver. I've just made other arrangemants since then. I have used a 89 Toyota Celica for about a year, a 91 Nissan NX1600 for about a year, and the 810 since 2003.
