to be honest, I wouldn't pay 5k for a coupe, some may, but not me.

my range, depending on condition would be 1 to 2.5K

Problem is there are none left now to know what to gauge their value at. I'd try and pick one up for $1 - $2k myself. However they are just getting so rare now.

No, don't think so. I think his had the correct GT-R tail light surrounds.

I don't believe it did, tbh. Fairly certain that was one of a few things that was missing in the look-a-like conversion, very hard and very expensive to get everything.

Lachlan's had the proper GT-R rear badge along with the 'SKYLINE' emblem, not 'DATSUN' so unless a lot has been changed in that regard then including the change from earlier rear reflectors to late, then that's not Lachlan's at all.
