Posted May 12, 200915 yr comment_283516 These rims were installed in 1975 by a Datsun dealer in the San Francisco area for the first owner. The rims have no marking at all and came with 195/R14 tires. There is a 'D' logo in the center of the wheel which looks a bit like the Daihatsu logo. I think they match the 240Z rather nicely but would be curious who made them. Thanks, Adrian Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31847-can-you-identify-these-rims-from-1975/ Share on other sites
May 12, 200915 yr comment_283520 The logo is not a 'D', but is a stylized 'A' for Appliance Industries. They called those "Wire Mags". Yours look like the 14x6 size, they were also made in 14x7 for the Z. Yours appear to be the earlier style using normal diameter mag lug nut, although the shanks are a bit shorter than average at 0.55". They will probably have the word "JAPAN" cast in the back side.Appliance went bankrupt many years ago. Caps and lugs that fit properly are available from Masseys in Oklahoma.
