Richard,

Thank you for the compliment. I wanted to make it easy on the body shop and source all the parts myself and leave the body and paint work to their experienced hands. (Some body shops do not want customers to provide the parts, since parts acquisition is a profit center for the business. My goal was to get the correct parts and allow the business to make an agreed upon profit on the body and paint work.) I have heard many stories about people who try to micromanage the body and paint work and ultimately alienate themselves from the craftsmen who do the actual work.

I am very fortunate to have a shop nearby that I trust and who trusts me to complete my vision of the project. Although the depths of my pockets are not bottomless, I budgeted for this project and collected the parts over the years to see the project to completion. As luck would have it, some of the parts I did not anticipate needing did present themselves to me as the project progressed. (For example, the OEM exhaust system became available as I needed it.)

I am now at the point where I can start to dispose of some of the excess parts I have accumulated. I plan to use the proceeds from these parts to fund another project.

Keith
