Posted May 24, 200915 yr comment_284623 I made two metric speedo overlays for anyone interested in a metric speedometer. They are calibrated for a 260z mph speedometer. Just print them out and stick them on. If you use them post some pics. I have attached them to the post but for the full resolution right click link and select save as. http://www.atlanticz.ca/260z_metric_speedo_guage_black.jpg http://www.atlanticz.ca/260z_metric_speedo_guage_white.jpg Edited May 24, 200915 yr by Jeffrey Attached images. May 24, 200915 yr Author comment_284627 If you are using Internet explorer for a browser you will have to right click and save as to download the images. IE does not display jpgs directly sometimes. I tried to upload as an attachment but they are too big pixel wise. I'll try get them to display another way for IE guys. May 24, 200915 yr Author comment_284629 I scanned my 260z mph guage and used Adobe Illustrator to create these based on my scan. I wanted to make sure if I overlaid this on to a 260z mph guage that it would be correct. I had to check my email to see who sent me a km/h guage scan a while back. It was you Chris. Thanks. I still have the Illustrator files if any profesional vinyl guage guys want it for the correct font. May 25, 200915 yr comment_284702 Nice work, when I had my speedo apart to clean it I noticed that it had a metric scale on the outside of the dial, which is hidden by the bezel when it is put back together. It only has makings at 80,100,140,180 (this is a guess as am going by memory).Dan Edited May 26, 200915 yr by 240dkw Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31965-metric-speedo-overlay/#findComment-284702 Share on other sites

May 26, 200915 yr comment_284772 Yes it is, I always wondered why there were markings that can only be seen if you look on a angle. I took a photo of my speedo. Sorry for the quality. The marks are at 50, 65, 100 and 130 mph with the very small numbers hidden fully under the bezel of 80,100,160 and 200 kph. Is the 260 different? May 28, 200915 yr Author comment_284920 Here is my 260z scan. Looks the same. The 90 looks to be positioned in the same place on both speedo's. This should work fine on your speedo.
