That's the thing, I don't have the original paperwork from 8 years ago. no idea what his name is. Can I look up my Z's past owners at the DMV or something?

Do you have the address he lived at when you bought the car or his phone number back then. You can get his name from that stuff. DMV's are hard to get that information from does Washington have some type of open public records act? That would make it really easy to get the info.

I was once asked at a gas station why I had changed my 280ZX from right hand drive to left hand drive because all of the old Japanese cars were imported and had right hand drive originally.

When I had my car , a 72, I was at a car show and a guy asked me why I installed a NISSAN engine in my Corvette

You should have told him, "That's not a Corvette! That's an RX-7!" ROFL

I had a kid ask me if my 280ZX was a Porsche. Also a former girlfriend thought my 350Z was a Porsche (needless to say, she was blonde :stupid:).

Hey!!! I a blond. What do you mean to say?

I parked at Starbucks yesterday in the Fairlady, and someone sitting at an outside started talking with me.

Stranger: "Beautiful car man!! Is that a Z?!"

Me: "Thanks! Yes it is..."

Stranger: "Are you the original owner!?!?!?!?!?"

Me: (blank stare) ".... no...?"

...

I am 24.
